This page explains which cookies and similar tools the website daymar.it uses, what they are for and how you can manage them, pursuant to Article 122 of Italian Legislative Decree 196/2003 (Data Protection Code), Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and the Guidelines on cookies and other tracking tools of the Italian Data Protection Authority of 10 June 2021.

What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that the website you visit saves in your browser and reads again on later visits. Similar tools, such as the browser’s local storage, work the same way and are treated as cookies on this page. They are first-party if set directly by this website, third-party if set by another website through embedded content, such as a map or a video.
Technical cookies are needed to run the website or to provide a service you have requested (for example the cart and the booking) and do not require consent. All others, such as third-party statistics cookies and profiling cookies, can be set only after you have given your consent.
How you give and change your choices
On your first visit a banner informs you about the use of cookies and lets you choose:
- Accept all: you enable Google Analytics and embedded content (Google maps and videos);
- Reject, or close the banner with the X: you continue browsing with technical cookies only;
- Customise: you choose which services to enable.
Until you choose, the website does not set cookies other than technical ones and does not load Google Analytics or embedded content, which is replaced by a notice with the “Load content” button. Scrolling the page or simply browsing does not count as consent. Your choice is remembered for 6 months: before then the banner is not shown again, unless the cookies used change.
You can change your mind at any time from the “Cookie preferences” link at the bottom of every page, or from here:
Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before. When you withdraw consent to Google Analytics, the website immediately deletes the related cookies.

Embedded content – Google Maps, YouTube, Vimeo
Providers: Google Ireland Limited (Google Maps and YouTube); Vimeo.com Inc. (Vimeo).
Some pages and posts (for example those about the harbour of Cala Gonone) contain an interactive Google map or a video. This content is loaded only after your consent, given from the banner or by pressing the “Load content” button. When it loads, the provider receives your IP address and may read or set cookies on its own domains (for example NID for Google Maps, VISITOR_INFO1_LIVE and YSC for YouTube, vuid for Vimeo), including for profiling purposes, which it manages as an independent controller. These cookies are not controlled by this website: you can delete them from your browser settings. More information: how Google uses cookies – Vimeo cookie policy.
Services that do not use cookies
- Fonts and icons: served directly from our server, with no connection to Google Fonts.
- Map on the Contact page: drawn with the Leaflet library and CARTO basemaps; to display the map tiles your browser sends your IP address to the CARTO servers and to the content delivery network (CDN) the library is downloaded from, without setting cookies.
- WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram, X: social buttons and links are plain links. Only if you use them does the corresponding service open, managed by its provider under its own privacy notice.
- Availability and booking: available dates are checked on our own servers, without external services.
Managing cookies from your browser
Besides the banner, you can delete or block cookies from your browser settings. If you also block technical cookies, some features of the website, such as the cart and the booking, may not work properly.
Your rights
You can exercise the rights under Articles 15-22 GDPR and lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority as described in the Privacy Policy.
