The Venus Pools are a unique natural phenomenon along the Gulf of Orosei coast: natural pools carved into limestone rock, filled by the sea with turquoise and crystal-clear water. Located between Cala Sisine and Cala Biriola, they are one of the most spectacular sights on any gulf voyage.
Venus Pools: Natural Rock Pools
The pools form in cavities along the coastal rock where the sea enters and calms, creating basins of incredible colours — from turquoise to emerald green — with perfect visibility. The smooth white rock creates a breathtaking contrast with the water, making this one of the most photographed stretches of coastline in Sardinia.
The Venus Pools are particularly beautiful during the midday hours when the sun is directly overhead and illuminates the seabed. They remain a stunning natural sight to admire from the boat as you navigate the coast.
How to See the Venus Pools
The Venus Pools are accessible exclusively by sea. Pending the lifting of current bathing restrictions, they are best enjoyed as a scenic highlight during your navigation along the coast.
